What God can do with an idiot

By Mark Dutton, D.Min.

Two meanings of the word idiot: 1. The word "idiot" comes from the Greek ἰδιώτης, idiōtēs 'a private person, individual', 'a private citizen', 'a common man', 'a person lacking professional skill, layman' 2."idiot" is a derogatory term for a stupid or foolish person.

This book is about people that God has used to get things done. The term idiot may not be the correct name to describe these people but read what the author has to say.  Mark shows how plain people of the Bible, who done dumb things, were used by God and how God loved each one. The stories are about Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David. Rahab and many others. In chapter 15, Mark gives his testimony about his life and how God changed him. He offers Bible verses to help us understand all that God has done with the people of the Bible and what He can do the same with anyone. The stories have great details about the people and about their background, the details can help you understand the people better than before.

I think the book was well written, easy to understand and worth the time to read. The information that is shared is very good and will be helpful in your walk with Christ. A great book for discussion groups.
