THROUGH MY FATHER’S EYES
By Franklin Graham with Donna Lee Toney
This is a beautiful, will written book about the life of Billy Graham as told by his son Franklin. The view of Billy by his son is done in a way that you will get an understanding of the man that is known and respected by most people. He was advisor to world leaders and many other people. He spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world for years, opening the door of salvation to millions. In this book Franklin shares some detail about his father’s private life, his thoughts and how his faith in Christ was what Billy wanted to show in the way he lived. The stories are about Billy’s family, his love for them, his belief and what he tried to show everyone that encountered him. Franklin shares how his father’s beliefs and life had a great affect on him and the decision he has made to continue Billy’s work for Christ.
I believe that you will want to read and reread this book to get to know just what kind of a man Billy Graham was. The book will open areas of Billy’s life that a bio would not share or show. I found so much information about Billy Graham that I did not know, and many others may not know but is so important to knowing the man. The book can be used in discussion groups or just for some casual reading.
A quote from Billy: “When you read or hear that Billy Graham is dead, don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive then than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”
