Learn about Heaven

50 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HEAVEN

BY Dr. John Hart

I think this book is one of the best I have read on the subject of Heaven. I found Dr. Hart's answers to be informative and scriptural based. He gives very easy to understand answers to 50 questions about Heaven we all should know and may have asked. The 50 subjects about Heaven the author chose to answer are very important and asked many times. Some of the questions are about who will go to heaven, what does the Old Testament say about Heaven, what we will do there, who we will see, and many more. Some of the answers may surprise you and will confirm what you already know. One thing this book is not is boring.

When I started to read the book, I did not want to stop but I also wanted to understand each answer before I continued into the next answer. I would recommend this book to be used in discussion sessions and would help all involved to a better understanding where Christians are going to spend eternity.

I received this book free from Bethany House for purpose of this review, I was not required to write a positive review, the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Home Behind The Sun

HOME BEHIND THE SUN

Connect With God In The Brilliance Of The Everyday

By Timothy Willard and Jason Locy

Home Behind the Sun is about discovering the brilliance of God in the shadows of everyday life. The author wants everyone to find that brilliance in your work, play, families and in everything, you do. The brilliance is God and God is in everything we do. There are fourteen chapters, each on a different subject, which we all go through in our lives. Subjects about how we should see others as God sees them, love, glorifying God in all we do.

The authors quote a lot of different writers and poets but in my opinion come up short on scripture quotes. They give very detailed descriptions about different events in their stories. A book you will want to take your time reading and give thought to each chapter before going on into the next chapter. A chapter offering discussion questions for small groups is included in this book.

Blood Moon Rising

BLOOD MOONS RISING

Bible Prophecy, Israel, And The Four Blood Moons

By Mark Hitchcock

The four blood moons are getting a lot of attention, with all that is going on in the world. Bible prophecy tells about the moon turning to blood before the second coming of Christ. The four-blood moons forecasted in 2014 - 2015, has opened a lot of talk and brought the prophecy to center stage in the Christian community. Mark looks at the prophecy from a Biblical viewpoint and uses scripture to explain what he thinks will happen. He compares his finding with others who have written their interpretation of what may take place. The book is very easy reading and easy to understand and filled with a lot of information.

One thing the Bible tells is that only God the Father knows when the second coming is going to take place He has not even told the Son (Jesus Christ). As to who’s interpretation is right, only time will tell what God has planned, when that time comes we won't be caring one way or the other who was right, because God will be right and we believers will be with Him.

Unexplained Mysteries

UNEXPLAINED MYSTERIES OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

Surprising Insights About Our World And Beyond

By Ron Phillips

Ron Phillips offers solutions to mysteries about the flood, the rapture, the antichrist, the shroud of Turin and other mysteries about God, in this informative book. Ron gives physical evidence to prove many mysteries; many have considered these mysteries to be fairy tales. The answers to the mysteries show the foundation of Christianity to be on facts. He explores mysteries of Hell and gives a description of Hell that should make unbelievers believe that Hell does exist and people make their own choice to go there. The chapter on the rapture shows Biblical truths and explains why the rapture will take place. There are 21 chapters; each explains a mystery with evidence to the solution. The evidence explains the mysteries and is presented in a easy to understand way. I found the evidence very helpful and answered other questions that I had on things in scripture.

The Solomon Seduction

THE SOLOMON SEDUCTION

What You Can Learn From The Wisest Fool In The Bible

By Mark Atteberry

This story of Solomon is about how Solomon fell from the grace of God by the seduction of Satan to commit many sins. Solomon started by following God but it did not take long for him to start breaking God's laws. Mark Atteberry takes you through Solomon’s life and shows how he (Solomon) gets seduced into many sins and shows us how we can be seduced into sin. Mark writes mostly for the male readers showing how men fall into these sins and compares us to Solomon. He tells us how we start to accept some sins and how we come up with excuses for the sin (s). This is easy reading and written with some humor. Mark shares many good points about how we need to be concerned about how we live our lives for Jesus Christ. Mark offers a study guide at the end of the book for you to use. Mark gives good examples to show how we can fall for the same seductions. Read with a open mind and think about what is needed in our lives, not just as individuals but as a group of believers. Remember Adam, the first man, got seduced and we are like Adam, we can fall, so be alert and on guard.
